Plastic tank repair

My 85 L plastic tank has a small crack in one of the cross creases.
Is there a plastic welding repair kit available that can cope with 98 octane gas ?

TIA,
Dennis.

Hi Dennis,

I repaired a plastic tank on a bike once with J.B. Weld. It's a 2 part epoxy, pretty sure Burson's stock it. Anyway, the tank is still fine, after 27 years! It's also good for repairing radiator top tanks, so temperature is clearly not an issue. I'd give it a go, just make sure the surface is clean before it's applied.

Regards,

Carl.
