Show and Shine Event - Bathurst April 5th.
At Easter there will be a gathering of Australian Porsche Clubs at Mount
Panorama, Bathurst, NSW. Entry is available to all current financial
members of Porsche AG sanctioned Australian Porsche clubs.
While a great deal of the focus will be on the regularity event, there are a number of evening events and social functions for those who have elected to submit a social entry (now closed).
One element of the weekend that is still open to you if you chose simply to
come up and enjoy the atmosphere is the show and shine display. This will be held on Easter Monday, April 5th, commencing at midday. For my sins I have been asked to organize this on behalf of PCNSW
Porsche Cars Australia is supporting this event, and, in concert with
their merchandise and race support truck, will have two very special museum
cars on display. In addition, a 2010 GT3RS, and the new Boxster Spyder will
be making appearances on the track,
Entry to the circuit, and all meals will be at your own expense, but our
plan is to allow you entry to an exclusive Porsche corral behind the pit
complex, where you can park and enjoy the atmosphere of the event, and
the camaraderie of fellow Porsche enthusiasts. The mechanics of this are being finalised now.
There will be awards presented, but there will be no formal judging
criteria. Rather, they will be awarded in the spirit of the event, which
is designed to be a casual and relaxed gathering of Porsche enthusiasts at
an iconic location.
If you intend to come along - please register you interest early, as I
expect the available spaces (60-70) to fill as quickly as the regularity
positions did.
To allow appropriate administration to occur I ask that your expression
of interest is submitted no later than March 29. A more formal entry form will follow soon.
