    912 on CarSales VIN 452444

    For future reference,
    From the ad:
"Matching numbers 1965 Porsche 912 The original motor runs like a dream as its been 2500kms since it was rebuilt. A rebuild alone on one of these 356 motors can cost around $15000. 5 speed. Originally Irish Green with Beige Interior Its a 3 Gauge dash with some aftermarket gauges added. It has rust in the floors and rockers. Comes with Certificate of Authenticity and receipts dating back to the 80’s".

    VIN: 452444
    Engine: 742050
    Price: $39,500

Either the working in the ad wording is incorrect, or the transmission has been changed as the CoA states its a 902/0 box (4-speed).

Technically it's a 1966MY and not a 1965, despite what the CoA and the ad states. It is an early '66 though.

Now an older black paint job with a red interior. Needs everything touched by the looks of it (except perhaps the engine)...but does have a lot of correct bits on it - four screw horn grills, decklid panel, decklid grill, decklid badging (I'd love that PORSCHE badge...), wiper handles, engine mount, external mirror (I think - hard to tell), steel wheels, front and rear guards, etc.

    No affiliation.

I thought that this was the one I heard about the other day. Very similar, but I think it is not the same one, going by the rust.

I guess that depends on your point of view, I have certainly managed to get myself on the wrong side of some people by finding old references.

I had discussions with a few members, I would doubt it.
