    Looks great in black

Was that type of basketweave was used on 68 cars? It looks a lot different to the 69-73 pattern.

it's not basket weave but elephant hide which I think was only available on 68 models

Were 'S' / Sports seats an option for 911S ?

Hi Jeff, The door cards look like Elephant hide but the seats look to have been re-done in something else.

Car belongs to a club member. If the sports seats were in elephant hide when with the car they would be worth a mint now.

I bought a pair of 1968 elephant hide seats from Melbourne a few years ago

68 was an interim year and a year of change....

My L is late November 67 build and has elephant hide.... the dash on this S is definitely elephant hide..... its hard to make out the doors.

I imagine sports seats were available - but these seats appear to be the same as other 68's I've seen .... the 1968 equivalent of comfort seats...

It appears also to be within about 100 chassis numbers of my L (which has all of the S options) other than the 160 hp motor.

Will be watching this one with interest - I wish the owner well with the sale....
