"1969T Australian delivered RHD 1969 911T. Originally sold by Hamilton’s to a doctor in Canberra. The car underwent a bare metal, nut and bolt restoration 10 years ago and was returned to its original Ossi Blue colour. The rebuilt car was inspired by a 60’s/70’s period racer. During that long restoration (documentation available), it was upgraded to a period RS specification, including seats, additional rear flares and Cibie spot lights. But the real gem of course was the addition of the upgraded 2.7L (Webers) engine that was swapped in for the original 2.0L. A Wevo short-shifter (for the 5-speed 915 gearbox) was also added. I bought the car 2 years ago from a Porsche enthusiast in Melbourne. After a thrilling road-trip driving the car back to Sydney, I gave the renowned team at PR Technology (expert Porsche specialists) the brief to undertake a no-expenses-spared total overhaul, and to build my dream classic Porsche. But first the engine required a complete top-end rebuild. Other significant mechanical work was also needed. The clutch, gear-box and drive-shaft were all restored, most of the wiring repaired, the ball joints and bearings also replaced. And new brakes. I also had a long specification list, including: -Genuine Talbot wing mirror -Genuine Nardi wooden steering wheel -Genuine forged Fuchs 15” wheels -Period correct Pirelli tyres -KW adjustable coil-overs -Rennline aluminium pedal set -Re-trimmed seats/headliner and carpets -Sun-visors -Interior door lights -Vintage looking, modern digital radio The car now looks immaculate and runs beautifully. Mechanically it is perfect. The glorious air-cooled engine is like no other. It’s very quick and agile at speed, and more than enough for the backroads and National Parks that it’s been used on. The KW shocks are currently on the softer road setting and offer sublime handling. The steering feedback is delicious. Pedals are just perfect for heel toe. As a pure, raw, analogue driver’s car it is the best I’ve ever driven - the mechanical sounds, the smells, the 360 degree visibility. And I’ve owned several Porsches but none have turned heads like this one. There are 3 simple reasons why you buy cars like this: how they look, how they drive, and how they make you feel. This car easily satisfies all 3 of these criteria. And many, many more. So why am I selling? My work and family commitments have meant I’ve unfortunately been unable to use the car as much as I’d like. And I don’t see this changing. These cars need to be driven. Must be driven. But whilst it’s a most reluctant sale, I’m certainly in no hurry. So if you’re after a beautifully restored and reimagined classic Porsche, and don’t want any nasty costly surprises, then this car might be for you. The car comes with full NSW registration, a CTEK trickle charger, 2 extra wheel sets, a period black 4-prong Porsche steering wheel, and a large swathe of supportive service records and documentation over the decades."
