For Sale is the engine lid from my 68. This is an original Porsche replacement part to suit a 5-bar grill, so 1970 onwards. The engine lid is rust free and straight. The part number stamped between the licence plate lights is: 91151290301. I thought this engine lid may be from a G series but it does have the twin licence plate light cutouts. $800+ shipping

Here's an early G lid that took years to find for the Carrera, it came with a rerpo ducktail but was delivered with flat lid from factory. See straight frame. Btw the center support with the spot wellded cross bar in the middle is also a give away for later g series lid.
Maybe superseded porsche part? You do not have permission to view this gallery.

There was a cross-over period for sure. I've got a lid sourced from G series, but it has factory cut outs for the early numberplate lights complemented by factory blanking plates for those same holesJohn Forcier
