With great regret, I have accepted that my plans for a longhood 911 hot rod is out of reach for the time being. I sold my rolling shell at the start of the year but was still holding onto some parts with the hope of finding a new chassis, but I just have far too many other project cars and not enough money to also take on a costly early 911 build.
So I have decided to list the 911/01 transmission that Hayden Burvill from WEVO built for me for sale on PFA and TYP901 forums before listing it elsewhere. It is essentially a completely brand new gearbox built to great specifications by a world-renowned Porsche gearbox specialist – it's too amazing to be left in a pallet box in the corner of my garage!

The gearbox was sourced by Hayden, stripped down, cleaned and inspected before being chosen for the rebuild. All gears and parts were handpicked from the WEVO inventory to ensure they were all in suitable condition. All labour, remediation of parts required, CWP set up process, etc was done by WEVO before being shipped completed to me back in 2016. In addition to the gearbox, I also have the clutch release fork, transmission beam modified with the WEVO semi-solid mounts kit, WEVO semi-solid engine mounts and maybe a couple other bits that will also be included in the sale. The build sheet is available for anyone that is interested in viewing it. I have plenty of photos during the build process. Pictures of the finished gearbox is possible, but I will have to unpack it from the pallet box.
This will be the perfect gearbox for a hot rodded or mildly tuned early 911. The waiting list for respected engine/gearbox builders overseas and locally are getting insane and then you have to deal with sourcing parts and all the other headaches that go along with it. This gearbox is ready now and I have already paid for the freight and import duties to get this into the country.
The price for the gearbox will be $15,000, reasonable offers will be considered. That price will include nationwide freight to make the transaction as hassle-free as possible.
