                  Btw, if your hinge spring is broken, the new ones are second rate and don't have the same resistance and the originals. The oil flap spring are the same as ones used on the fuel filler flap, that's what I ended up using (old one off a spare fuel flap) instead of the new part.

                    The spring is intact but lost a slight bit of the original full movement. My oil door hinge seemed good however when I took it off to use as a paint match sample noticed that it had a significant hairline crack that was just holding together so a good save otherwise it would have sheared off and damaged the paint. Clyde was right again my Light Yellow paint was a slightly lighter shade than the original factory paint code 117. Nev
