2.4 S Spec 7R Case short engine for sale

911 2.4S spec with 7R case short engine - DEPOSIT TAKEN

Bare long engine with cooling tin ware, distributor and leads, oil cooler and matched Weber inlet manifolds
    • No fan, alternator, exhaust or flywheel
Spec and history as advised by seller, the engine was built by Buik Motorworks in Adelaide as follows:
    • Built as 2.4S spec engine, with 2.4 S camshafts, 2.2 S pistons (raises compression), oil pressure fed chain tensioners
    • R case Type 911/46 Engine # 6159028. This case was originally supplied by Porsche in a 1975 2.7 Sporto.
    • The 7R case is latest specification with additional ribbing behind flywheel etc, and is in very good condition with no pitting
    • Dyno'd at 180 bhp at flywheel
    • Minor oil weeping at case join
    • ~ 30,000KMs use
Cylinder leak down and oil pressure tests were completed prior to the engine being removed from the car, with following results:
    • Leak down report; 1=2% 2=3% 3=3% 4=3% 5=4% 6=3%
    • Oil pressure @ 170 deg: @ idle 15 psi; @ revs 90 psi
Engine has been periodically turned over during my ownership and magnesium surfaces sprayed with Gibb’s oil to stop surface corrosion.

    Photo's are available on request.

Guys this is the engine that was in my old orange car. It was only removed because I had the 2.3 twin plug engine built to go historic racing. It ran like a top
