Vinyl is good for its age with no cracks. Plastic underside support has a few cracks, suits restorer/ repairer.

Just wondering if you could send me some pics as your post has no pics just a lot of question marks in boxes.
    Cheers

Regarding dash restoration, I have found a guy in Bendigo who does good work however, he is having supply issues ATM wiht the cover material imported out of europe and doesnt expect supplies until late December. Seems other dash restorers are quoting ridiculous lead times probably due to material supply issues. The guy in bendigo seems reasonably priced too.

I sent a dash to Dash Dr in Coburg pleaded with them to get the step sharper he says can't as vinyl they can now buy won't hold it's shape wthen in a near right angle situation hence why the smooth out the step some what. 3 mth wait to complete and $800

Clyde, we did visit Dash Doctor recently with the Fiat 124 dash and he quoted at least 14 weeks and about $1000. Speaking to the Bendigo dash guy, he noted the variety of thicknesses of materials which contribute to the ability to properly vacuum form the cover and that thicker materials compromise this but some restorers dont go to the trouble to get the right materials, especially with the good UV inhibitors in the material. Perhaps Dash Doctor uses what material they can get and cant meet the specs you need. I know you have pointed this out to me a few times but I also think they cant apply the level of vacuum pressure to old dashes since they can collapse or crack the underlying material. Bendigo guy says this is a particular problem with the old Italian dashes which become quite fragile after 40 years or so. am keen to see his work after the new material arrives.
