FS: 69 E Factory Prototype - The first LWB 911 ever built

No affiliation, but interesting to see how much it finally sells for.

I am sure we will hear more about this car in the popular Porsche press/media.

Factory converted from LHD to RHD for any interested Aussie buyer!

There's a couple of huge threads on DDK and EarlyS about this car. A true "barn find" of sorts. Certainly an interesting car.

Lucky I started to read the DDK thread on a Sunday - work productivity would have been down to zero..... Great story though.

It'll be interesting to see the final price.

I don't believe it warrants huge money - the car needs a full restoration and has been previously significantly modified. If the car was untouched from new or from the RHD factory conversion, they it would be worth more in my mind. I think the #1 numbers are a really cool oddity and definitely add value - as well as the significant change from the SWB, but ask yourself if you were going to drop $80k on a car needing restoration, would you grab this car or something else... say a complete RHD S?

It's got a great 'barn find' story that is now very well known,
          + prototype
          + first LWB
I think the auction price has a bit to go yet.

I am sure some entrepreneurial type could negotiate some good pricing for the restoration work based on the media coverage the car will get in the future.

          Time will tell.

Or maybe the Porsche Museum might be interested and add it to their stables? Then the cost of restoration wouldn't even enter the equation.
