I have been in contact with Eric Linden as some have been having issues with the blades sweeping only part of the screen
Here is the respsonse I got from Eric which will be useful for all of us with the issue
Hi,
No, haven't had any feedback like that at all, to the contrary I've had only good feedback.
However, the issue is easily solved, but a short story is necessary first.
I got many of my original spec arms and blades from my shop that takes care of my cars. They have been in business since the early 60's doing Porsche and VW service. The owner is still working one day a week, and his son now owns the shop, great people. I pulled some arms off of two of their own personal original cars,.and commented to the son that i was going to make sure that i had the correct arc in the arm. He said he didn't think i would be able to do that as his father was always correcting the arc on the wiper arms for customers as they were always complaining about the wiper blades not sweeping well. At that exact moment, his dad walks up and asks me what i was up to..... So i told him i was getting some of his original wiper arms so i could get the correct arc. And of course you can imagine exactly what he had to say " you aren't going to be able to get the correct arc, as we had to change the arc for customers who had problems with their blades not wiping well....".
So, just give the arm a little more bend in the arc to give more pressure on the blade, and I'm sure it will be fine.
I don't know if you ever saw your dad doing this when you were a kid, but when the shop owner mentioned it to me i remembered my dad doing it whenever we got new blades.
Let me know how it goes, note that i had to guess as to what the arc on the arms should be, and perhaps there should have been a little more bend in them.
Regards
Eric
