      Hi Mikki,
I don't know how many 72 s cars came to Australia in 72 but for 73 there were 9 (coupes) delivered to Australia from the records I have. Unless you are trying to prompt someone that you know who has one into selling, could be a long wait....
      Good luck with your search.
      Sean.

In 1971 Porsche Australia/NZ (Hamiltons) imported just twelve of the S models, of which about half are still known to exist in Australia/NZ. So only six cars, most of which have already been restored . . . long odds.

The guys at Classic Road & Track were sitting on a UK 73S project which seems to have stalled. Low probability but maybe you could convince them to sell?

Spoke to the owner and gave him your details, up to him now.

He is away for a week or so so don't panic if he doesn't call today.

Here is a pic of the Gemini Blue 73S taken at last years AGM in CRT's workshop just after it came back from paint.

I am sure Dave and Mark will be finishing this project off to their usual high level of workmanship and I would suspect the car may be sold back into the UK where these cars are commanding premium prices.

Sad fact for local buyers is that they are now competing with cashed up UK buyers and with our A$ - GBP exchange rate at 2:1, its very tempting.

Will be a stunner, and I agree Phil, will go for big dollars (pounds) when they finally sell it. Engine is original but was upgraded to 2.7RS spec by Francis Tuthill back in the 70s/80s . . . CRT told me they will probably leave it that way since it's a part of the car's long history and no doubt a blast to drive.

The car was last owned in the UK by Claire Jessica-Weait who is well known on the UK Porsche scene (both for her cars and for being very easy on the eye!)

Love that pic. Looks like a scene out of Cars 3 - Porsche University.
