It certainly suits the Italian temperament! Nice video. " A Car with Temper". Love it.

Modern take of the 78 935

Porsche have revealed to the world a very special car - a Porsche 935 of modern times. The original Porsche 935 from 1978 is a racing legend, and dominated the racing scene for several years including the iconic 24 Hours of Le Mans race. To celebrate

          He made made me smile.
Hi Sean, that video brought back memories of my '78 930. The Italian drivers comments express the emotion you feel when driving these cars at the limit. I sold mine for $65K and of course, now regret it. But it made way for a daily driver 993 which I truly enjoyed for many years. My wife, Sheryl really loved driving that car but these days even ordinary 993's are bringing good money so wouldnt be easy to surprise her with a new birthday present.

Yes Phil, I am hearing you!
I have been driving the 77 and 79 back to back over the last couple of days on the same strecth of roads. You can feel the lightness in the 3lt car and the extra grunt/weight in the later model, both amazing cars imo. There are definately times in the 79 (as per the guy in the vid) that the car feels like its steering from the rear when it squats down and takes off on boost. Entertaining for sure.

Got to admit 2 is better than 1 and twice as much fun.

I bought this modern motor mag the other month and enjoyed reading the article. I wonder if this car is still getting around ,anybody recognize the car/plate?
The first owner at the time wasn't scared to give it curry.

Just 8 years ago Shaun, the good old days when they were just another Porsche and seen as being a bit of a handful. Recollection of an asking price? Your earlier posting of the Modern Motor article I have the same one in my cache.

                      Good aricle.
If you go off what the dealer told me who was consigning the car at the time when I called, $100k.
I couldn't manage that stress as had other car on way from melbourne and needed stability at home

                          Hi Adam,
you have seen the 79 just after I purchased it in person when we had coffee in Dunsbourgh back when. It's a tough choice, I'd probably sway towards the less is more

Yes I do remember this car

it was one of the first 3.3s registered in NSW.

car was driven from Sydney to Melbourne in 6 hours in 1978/79

not sure if it’s still around....... I suspect like many 930s it may have had some misadventures into the scenery.
