    79 911SC gearbox code

Need help with decoding the gearbox # on my aussie 1979 SC. High miles maintained by Hamiltons until 212,400 kms then AutoCoupe until 291,oo2 kms before the tripometer stopped working. Looks like 915/61 719 4002. Wishing to know the 61 in the first set of numbers then the 1 between the 7 and the 9. Thx in advance Nev

Thanks Sean for the help. The car was built February 1979 and delivered 24 April 1979 to Ian Ross who also had the PCA advertising account up until a few years back, and the second owner was his partner in the ad agency (Concord Advertising) Ivan Abbott. The car clocked up 190,000 clicks within the first 1o years.
Ian is well known in the historic racing scene and his son now drives for McLaren.
Is it possible that the sequential numbering 4002 is correct for the original factory fitment given that it is 1272 earlier than the one in your 78? When I reinspect the stamping due to some grazes it is possible that he number is 14002. Suppose the only way to find out is to check with PCA. Nev

Just a quick update, checked with PCA and found that the gearbox is the correct year and code but the number is too early to match the original delivery.
