Sean are you able to clarify where exactly and can anyone point me in the right direction to secure the correct speaker plug(see black lead which is for both L&R speakers) Nev
Here is what I found Nev.
Ariel unit was sitting on Velcro on floor.
There appears to be no room behind the floorboard to install the unit once the factory ac is installed.
You can see where the Ariel unit was mounted on the passenger floorboard.

Thx Sean That makes more sense than the pic I saw which was an non aircon car. Is it possible to get a pic of the speaker plug and also the main lead as I can see there are 2 connector tabs in the recess, the top stamped +12V and the one below which is stamped Aut Ant. The earth connecter is on the radio frame. Might need to contact Blaupunkt direct to get the correct plugs. Nev

Hi Sean My radio antenna box does not have the mounting strap. Easy enough to make but I cannot see what it attaches to, unless it is the airconditioning footboard strap rear bolt in the centre or the inboard bracket nearer the tunnel and on the right hand edge of the airconditioning coils. Any pics appreciated. Thx Nev

          Pic of back radio Nev.
I don't know why the Ariel unit was sitting on the floor.
Was wrong about there being not enough room behind the floor board to mount,
managed to shoehorn it in beside the ac unit.
Will find some countersunk metric screws to make flush on face of the floor board.

I reckon you’re right coz my floorboard has the same predrilled holes that line up in the tight space next to the a/c. With a/c hoses, aircon tubes, drain tubes from the plenum behind the bonnet a sunroof and windows.
The floor mount looked very un Porsche. Have sent an email to the guys in the UK that specialise in high end vintage to see what I can order. The move to the new mount will probably save you later pain. Cheers and thanks Nev
