Correct finish for 77 cookie cutters?

I've got a set of cookies for my 77 coupe, but they've been painted in light grey.
I'm pretty sure that they should be an alloy finish but could somebody please verify this?
I wanted to make sure before I get the paint removed and wet blasted.
