    Bmw 1602

I thought I would put up some pics of a classic car that I bought from Sean (mrar) in W.A.
It is a 1972 Perth delivered matching numbers car in Colorado orange.
Cheap and cheerful, picked up the Alpina wheels from Gumtree @$10 (big thanks to Reubs for facilitating) each then refinished them.
Lowered front and back with H&R springs and Koni adjustable shocks, ball joints and tie rods, new clutch master and slave cylinders, new Weber dual throat crab and manifold and new exhaust.
It runs nicely and I replaced the inside carpet and thresholds and the window winder mechs and added passenger mirror.
Oh yeah, I removed the front bumper to give him a bit more attitude...... but the jury is still out on that?
Definitely budget motoring compared to Porsche but still ticks all the boxes IMO.

Chris. Now that is sweet. Told my son in Adelaide to watch out for it in his 2004 M3. I hope you still have the mini!! Nev

What a ripper Chris. I looked at 2, 2002tii cars when I was looking for a new project but both had too much rust. How does it drive? Manual?

Merv, three pedals and a gearstick = manual. Chris, front bumper would give it more balance visually IMHO and quite a collection building up.
                  Cheers

Thats a beautiful car - Was either a 2002tii or RS2000 as my first car - Went the RS and was scared of the tii at the time ( mechanical issues )

I'd love the bumper back on - The colour is superb

                      Still have the Mini Nev.

Is it fast?........ not particularly, but still nice to drive in the hills, or even just to work.

Yes Chris - missed the obvious as I was just looking at another one for sale a minute before, an auto. Nah. Nice pick up and the classic lines of the Neue Klasse cars.

Car looks better than ever, great job.
                          Has plenty of mojo.
