    Crush collar

Hi guys. I need a new crush collar to refit the gear knob on a 901. NLA from Porsche – anyone know where I can get one?

Bit hard to find these days.

I re-used my old one and glued it in place.

I figure I can always cut it off if I need to !

Cheers Cam, might have to do this with the next one I get as I rip the bloody thing off every track day I do. Doing a session at PI on the 10th of next month so need to get this sorted before then.
Can still get them in the States but thought I'd see if anyone locally has a stash of them.

I'm sure Mr Upway would have an approapriate response for that...

John I think that might be the long term solution

I did have a little chuckle, Master Po (Curnick) is a very wise (& funny) man.

Thought I'd update this for anyone looking for one of these...

The same part for later models ('74 onwards) is an identical replacement and is readily available through Porsche for about ½ the price of having the original shipped over from the States.

Ryan, going to take your advice and be one with the shift knob; failing that I’ll be back to buy another one on Tuesday.
