Can anyone here recommend what type of oil to use in an air compressor. I think I read somewhere that you can use automatic transmission fluid but Im not sure about that.

Try your local tool shop , they sell the stuff in one liter bottles . I have one in the work shop but can't find it so Cant tell you what brand or grade ect , Not sure on auto trans fluid but a google search should give you a answer .

My one's still got it's original oil in it of about 8 years . Allthough It did come with a spare one liter bottle that's lost in the shed !
