Sunday March 30th is the next planned run for Victorian members.
Starting from the plane viewing area at the back of Melbourne airport at 8AM SHARP, Road C 743 at the Oakland Road roundabout
(leave you behind if your late, you can head to Lancefield to catch us at the main street Bakery/Cafe opposite the public toilets at 8.55am)
heading towards Newham, Lancefield, Pyalong, Tooborac, Heathcote, Mia Mia and then winding our way back to Romsey where those who are not time poor can head to Wallan and a Cafe for lunch, others can head straight back from Romsey to be back in the CBD by 1pm.
Had to make a few changes after finding one road turned into gravel and another had a 3km stretch of full on roadworks but it caused me to look at a road that was previously in terrible condition but has now been resurfaced.
Overall except for one small section between Lancefield and Tooborac (plenty of warning signage) roads are Ok but some are only 1 1/2 cars wide so we will need to be alert.
15 minute stop at Lancefield at 8.55am (clinical precision) toilet break pic opportunity and if your very quick a coffee but we will be stopping in Heathcote in a bit over and hours time for morning tea anyway.
45 minute stop for morning tea at Heathcote at 10.15am
All systems go weather looking fine.
IN FUTURE KEEP THE LAST SUNDAY IN THE MONTH FREE FOR A PLANNED DRIVE WHICH I WILL ORGANISE AS I AM NOW RETIRED.
Please advise here if attending, if you cannot make that is fine of course, no need to post about your absence.
