July run is all systems go, Sunday 13th July

I visited my hip surgeon today and I am good to go driving wise....didn't tell him I have been driving for 2 weeks, some manuals too.

I'll work on something over the next day or 2 and advise.

Departing from Office BP truck stop on the Princes Freeway at 8am sharp

Route Sth Gippsland but not the all the usual roads trying some different ones in and around Neerim and Noojee before winding back towards Warragul and onto some our previously used roads. Time poor can just come for the first half and head back to town via the Princes Highway.

Still planned to finish in Drouin around lunchtime (midday) at our previously used lunch spot for those wishing to partake.

I will monitor the weather over next 48 hrs and make a decision about proceeding.

I won't choose another route as unless I have driven it first, I am not subjecting my or anyone elses car to what the roads might serve up without warning.

There was quite a bit of rubbish on the road where we do the most twisty bit but it is also a slow part as very twisty.

I will be conservative with a decision.

In the words of Jet Jackson "Ïcky we are ready to launch". Weather looking half decent for tomorrow and the best part no wind to blow crap on the rather wooded road we will be on for a while.


7 starters so far

The weather gods smiled on us today no rain mostly dry roads and not too much junk on the road out of Noojee.

We finished with 8 starters Andrew V, Andrew B1, Andrew B2, Clyde, Alex, Uwe, Marcus and Douglas.

Everyone stayed for lunch and Peter came in an ambulance and met us for lunch in Drouin. Julie bought Anzacs too, the days highlight for me!!!

Great to see Marcus and Alex again on a TYP 901 run hope they can make some more going forward.

Something has happened to my iphone so pics I took and the ones Alex sent me I cannot load so hopefully the rest of you have some pics to add to the post to make it somewhat more interesting.

Next run will be on Sunday September 6th (I am away overseas for 3 weeks in August) so pop it in your diary.
