If you click on Messages in the top bar and select 'Go To Message Centre', it should all work from there.

            there are still problems

I sent a PM last night in response to someone
they were obviously able to read it and replied
however when looking at their reply (or my sent box) my message is not visible at all although it shows i have sent something (it is all blank)

              it is getting stranger.......
I just got a PM from the person who sent the message originally asking me to repeat my answer as he could no longer see it

I did that and AS I POSTED IT all of his messages disappeared and MY original one became visible again along with my new message

the system seems seriously screwed up

Thanks Clyde, I hope he resolves whatever the issue is. I did post a note in my for sale thread of recent items advising I was NOT receiving PM's even though some members said they sent them.

I also noticed that now every time I login, I have to verify my username and p/word whereas in the past, it automatically logged me in. I have definitely checked the "remember me" box but this doesnt help so I wonder if the forum software has a few bugs that are now appearing - or did we get a recent update of software that Uwe has installed which might bw causing this and other PM problems as noted above.

Phil, no updates for a while and its on the latest version, PM looks better after researching on forums for a while and finding a couple of snippets that made sense.

Please test PM's if you can using the Message Centre.

For your login can you try from another bowser/computer, if that behaves normally perhaps clear history/cache on your browser.

that login thing happened to me a while ago - out of the blue. it persisted although I tried to do some things like clear cache etc then out of the blue again it was OK again - I suspect something to do with My PC at the time but I am really not sure

Thanks for yr suggestions Uwe. I am using the latest Google Chrome browser and regularly clear my history/cache so doubt this is a problem.
I usually send a PM via right clicking on a members name in a thread to open up a PM window and dont go specifically to the Message Centre. Maybe I will try that, however I am still not receiving the body of a PM even when I see a notification one has been sent. I only get the heading.

will keep trying to see if anything has changed.

If you click on the heading somewhere, do you get the full thread ?

Uwe, I didnt understand what you wanted me to do. I went into my Message Centre and clicked on the mot recent message (4 June) where I could only see the subject of the PM and there was no text visible. Seems others also have this issue so there is definitly something wrong as I cant rely on the PM system getting thru to a member.

Hi Phil, I don't think Uwe's fix will recover old messages that were affected by the problem, but hopefully any new messages will work OK now.
