          What a find Mikki!

          What's the story behind it?

Since we are talking about SWB Australian 911S's how would the 1968 MY production numbers compare (total, RHD, Australian) interested if there were more or less than in 67.

Interesting thread ... I knew my engine was special but didn't realise it was that rare locally ... I understand the car mine came from was silver - at least that's colour it was when the 2.0S was removed

              cheers Stew.

I was told from Simon Baxter (classic throttleshop) years ago when they had a 68 for sale that there were 6 aus del 68s (cofirmed porsche records apparerntly), 5 aus del 69s.
Asked HughH his records didn't go back that far.

That article on eBay is about the red car we keep referring to - the lowest chassis number Oz S we know of. No idea where it is now - Hugh, do you have any idea of its last know sighting?

No I don't have any recent record of it. I believe I know its vin and engine number but that is about all, Given the couple of new engine references, if they check out as coming from an Australian car that could put the number of Australian cars up to about 6 - which would seem reasonable in the context of 35 UK delivered ones.
