Correct '68 only washer bottles are unicorns .... but it's all the little details that add up!
Was running bendix not actually sure what mechanic put in it but whatever it is it works a treat.

I have the washer bottle my car appears as though it should have the same bracket as 69-73 cars with the hole in the front slam panel but pump seperate.

Front slam panel obviously replaced at some stage so need to get the hole saw in action first

Taking the advice of some other members I had the car detailed then ceramic coated, it came up amazing, really added the missing wow factor back to the paint.

Apart from the couple of known blemishes the detailer surprised me by saying it was an excellent paint job with plenty of paint on the car.

He was so pleased how it came up I think it might get used in his promotional info soon.

Thought the 69 had the pump hanging on the side of the washer bottle?

68 has the pump on the pedestal and the washer bottle on the bracket - no moulding on the washer bottle to hang the pump ...?

Thanks Ben but I thought I read somewhere the bracket holding the bottle in place was same from 68 onwards and the pedestal style finished in 67

Do you know if the correct 68 washer bottle has a filler neck that comes through the front slam panel like 69-73 does as I have 2 bottles both sellers claiming them to be correct for 68

I thought it did if so I will have to drill the hole as I think based on the drain holes the front slam panel has been replaced on this car at some stage

68 was such a transition year.

My L was a November / December 67 build. it has the bottle with neck through latch panel.

Yeah mine's April '68 build and has some '69 parts but has the pump bracket on the right angle in the front left corner so had to find the non moulded washer bottle to suit.

Neck definitely through the latch panel.

                              Clyde,

I know others have already chimed in but I had a look at my July 68 build. Washer bottle neck is through the latch panel and pump mounted on L shaped bracket between battery and washer bottle. Washer bottle a more bulbous shape than that shown in your internet photo.

Enjoy the differences in owning a 68! Happy days.
