    1968 carpet question....

Hoping someone has or had a 1968 car with original carpet and can tell me if the drivers side was 2 pieces with a floor matt and then a separate matt under the pedal cluster / over the pedal board?
Or was it a single piece from the floor matt right up under the pedal cluster?

I just went and had a look at the carpet.
    One piece.

Sean can I trouble you for more confirmations on your interior - the '68 armrest does not have stitching running the length of the rest, but instead is one piece of vinyl wrapping around. ('67 and earlier I believe were 2 pieces with stitching running the length?)

And no chrome end cap around the door release button on the forward end of the rest?

        Thanks in advance ...

        Ben.

I looked at a pic on file, no stitching.
Can see black button but need to look at home later on to see front of button for end cap as pic is from side.

                  Wonderful - thanks Justin.

I forgot your car was elephant hide - that's got to be super rare in that colour!

I wonder how many colours they did? Only seen black and the cream '68 sports seats that have been floating around on ESR for years.

Looks lighter, and its not elephant hide - mind you I took the picture at night in my garage - so not much natural light.

That's huge .... and mine's been done incorrectly with vinyl.

Be interesting to see the reaction to this from the trimmer .....
