The edging on my carpet is vinyl, same as the original it replaced. It was redone some years ago by Tim Ward, Sports and Specialist Trimming in Richmond.

That's interesting - seems to be examples of cloth and vinyl on original carpets ...

do you know where to get the door botton release from? PCM parts and service said that it only comes as a lever in the later model cars.

Not sure what part you're after?

ELsporto, I have a 901 which has the door latch opening handle bar and am looking for all the parts to make it the button opening type

it was rather odd that PCM didn’t know that it existed as they are the authorized classic centre.

I think you'll have to buy the whole handle - a left and a right hand one.

Repop or search for good 2nd hand ones.

                        What year is your car?

Apologies I may have been unclear, I was referring to the button door handle that you use from the inside as pictured on the first page

the car is a 1969 911 and has the latch opening type inner door handle

my personal preference is the door handle with the button

I think it’s called the 912 inner door handle assembly

this is what I was after
