Great news! Do you know where 0008, 0009 and 0010 were delivered? Or anything else about them?

So the bad news is I missed by 1 car, my early sister 12820006 sold to South Africa is the first RHD 68 model. OK so I maybe can have the first Polo Red with a 5 speed sold into Africa?

Nope.......so great news! I have the first RHD 68 model 912 in the world with Back Trim.
Just be happy youve got a 912 - with a cool story attached - that's enough I think.... weve been corrupted by all of the 1 of 1 , 1st paint to sample cars imho.

I wonder of the UK cars are still around? Or did they rust away to nothing years ago?

Got a lovely surprise yesterday, the old owners son found and scanned me 20+ photos of my car from almost new... 1968 through to the 80's. The first two photos with hub caps wheels the 912 is just 6 months old. Amazing what details you can glean from the old photos like no rear view mirror, stickers on the sides, numbers on the front lid.

                      912 steel wheels.JPG
Fitted a restored matching set of steel wheels, dated correctly for the 912. Not sure how to proceed with the "Porsche Factory Rally team Fuch wheels" (clean up or restore)?

Fuchs are part of the history, you sure you want to change that patina?

                                Hi Geoff,

Did you get the dash recovered or is it all original?

                                cheers
