    Sad fact

I bought these Porsche supplied rear overrider and rubber for my 73E. Not cheap by any stretch of the imagination.

While the quality appears to be good it is sad to see this is what gloabalisation has meant for our loved brand. At least the overrider itself was Made in Germany.

Sorry about my "list for tomorrow"LOL

I have a brand new Genuine pair in Porsche boxes if you are interested, ending up cleaning my old ones up as they were "pre curved" and ready to go .

Reminds me of a friend of dads who spoke a about a town in Japan that was renamed USA, back in the 1950s.... When Japan was perceived as being inferior to other countries ( how ironic is that?)

Not being critical, but this is the way of the world..... companies are always looking for cheaper production of parts, clothes etc etc ..... many prestigious brands..... including the one we love.

the real annoying thing is when the part-numbers remain exactly the same, but the current available item gets made in another country with reduced quality.
I'm thinking here specifically of the Bosch coils that nowadays come from Brazil and - from what i read everywhere - are horrendously bad compared to the original (black) ones from Germany. I have learned the hard way to check forums before pulling the trigger on a part.

Probably people in other parts of the world wonder why their coal, alumina, iron ore, wheat, meat, higher education etc come with “Made in Australia” on them. Most of the car companies aren’t really “manufacturers” any more, better described as assemblers of subassemblies manufactured by others.
