Another Covid project; tightening up my Durant mirror which was too loose and moves out of position once I hit about 70 kph .. only been putting up for the past the 4 yrs..
I found on the early S site that there's a nut you can turn; by simply moving the mirror out until the nut hits the indented tab (seen to the right of the nut in the 1 st photo below) and then just rotating the mirror 360 degrees. However this didn't tighten it , as the the bolt just rotated. So I took the glass out (put a small screw driver between the plastic ring and mirror frame and eased out the ring) and found there's a screw you can tighten (under the glass) whilst holding the nut as described above. All fixed now and stays in place whilst driving ..
