    What's it worth now ?

I was looking at some old pics today of early 911's for sale only 12 years ago. Pics below are of a 912 that I found on ebay for sale at a storage yard in Epping, VIC. Out of interest I went to inspect it and was quite shocked at its condition and that they were asking around $20K for the car (I think).

Nowadays, this would be swooped upon by any number of buyers trying to grab it over the phone sight unseen. And what would people pay for a 912 in this condition now ?

I also looked thru some old For sale ads on the forum. How about a LHD-RHD conversion 1973 911S for $45K ? Those were the good' ole days........

I should say they were HOPING for $20K but I believe it fell well short of that. I even heard someone from the UK bought it. Guess it looked like a fine example to them with "minimal" rust.

Was it yellow or red ?
I bought a nos rhd dash pad off a guy in melbourne, he had mistakenly bought two for the conversion on his 2.7 carrera and had this pad in his back shed for years.

Yes, I tried to buy one back around then,
My mechanic talked me out of it (said it looked like a bumble bee). Was at Autohaus, Offered low $40k for it.
Think it may have been this one as there weren't many delivered.

At Autohaus Hamilton we are car fanatics - Porsche fanatics to be precise. We understand that Porsche ignites a special connection with people.
