    Then and Now

Following on from my post in the "Early days" thread, here are some before and after shots of cars that have been transformed, saved, resurrected, reborn or brought back to life again by enthusiasts - many of whom are members of this register.

I know there are plenty of cars out there so please feel free to post with your "before and after" shots.

Lets kick off with a SWB 1966 912 that had been "Turbo-looked" and was purchased by Dave Belford (now of Classic Road & Track fame) with the intention of building a 911R recreation. I ended up buying the part completed project off Dave and then working with jason of Chequered Flag restos to finish with the Gulf Blue beauty below.

Perhaps some of the most dramatic "Before" pics are these of the donor car that eventually became Clydes Viper green ST before dave Belford performed welding and metalwork miracles to rebuild the body shell into the solid foundation on which t build the magnificent ST recreation Clyde proudly shows today.

I liked that car a lot, it was probably the first Porsche that I had ever seen close up (Circa 2009), it influenced the cars I owned over the next decade.

Come on Chris, surely you have plenty of great shots of some of the cars you have rebuilt over the years. Dig them out and add to the thread.

Here's another early SWB car that was saved. I bought it as a wreck and again, Jason helped bring it back to both its original colour (Bahama Yellow) and to its original shape. It was (and still is) an aussie delivered, RHD Sporto 911S.

Saved from an 80's upgrade - camped out in my lounge room for a year while the garage was renovated.
