Hey Sean, that pic makes me want to visit Margaret River again soon and drive some of those great roads. And yes when I heard it was a GBP 90K motor, I was wondering just what did they build it with ? Titthill has a good reputation but at tose prices...... And 350K pounds for the whole car make it a very expensive machine indeed.

Not 2.2 90k pounds eng in this but am told it had 906 pistons and barrels fitted when Spencer built the engine.
go's like a cut cat when you get on it, sounds fantastic about 5k rpm on.

I watched harry's video on the 65 911. They cheated a bit with the hot 2.2 motor from Tutthill's but it certainly went well. As Harry said, the engine sounds were all you needed to hear and he did drive it most enthusiastically in this test which is not something he normally does with rare cars. His video almost made me want to go get another early car...... but then I remembered what they cost to fix and get to the stage like the one he was driving.

Interesting Phil - the pace of technological change around cars is incredible - will hydrogen result in many skipping electric vehicles?
I am very interested in the new Grenadier (www.ineosgrenadier.com) to replace my old G Wagen but even that's old tech so - maybe a Rivian instead (https://rivian.com/r1s)

Will watch that one as I like Harry's videos. Just also watched his one on Hydrogen fuel engines where he visited JCB who actually build their own engines and have a hydrogen prototype running in earth moving machines. Harry was surprised at the possibilities for this engine and its likely use to replace conventiaonal ICE motors in the near future with hydrogen being a very transportable fuel.
