1969 and 1970 car owners ...help needed please.

I am trying to assist in getting information correct in the next edition of Brett Johnson's 911 and 912 Restoration Guide.

Specifically focused on the horns and the bracket welded on the back side of the battery box (LHS only) and location of the horns on their cars.

Can 1969 or 1970 owners please advise if the bracket appears on the back of the battery box on the LHS of their car and if known date of the build of that car

Can 1969 and 1970 owners also check if horns are currently mounted left and right on their cars or left side only.

Pics would be awesome too, posted here please.

    Thanks in advance

    Hi Clyde,
My cars build date is 2/5/1969. Horns (bosch snail) mounted left and right on brackets welded to the underside of the battery boxes. There is no other mounting bracket (or evidence of one ever being there) on the back of the LHS battery box - see photo. The RHS is a mirror of the left.
    Cheers,

I would look... But don't think it'd tell you anything useful.

Wow. I think that's the nicest thing you've ever said about my car.
