Wet and windy today so tackled the project that was most annoying me on my recently re purchased 911E
Typical of a lazy panel shop after doing some minor paint repairs for the previous owner they made no attempt to tuck the side sill trim in behind the jacking point on either side of the car instead they bent both to basically cover the jacking point.
One side the jack point is a little domed on the top (like a lot are after jacking the car up a few times) and that took a little more finessing and a little filing of the trim to get it to tuck behind like it should.
One of the rubbers slid easily along the trim the other fought me all the way. Had to replace one with an old one I had as it was all cracked.
For those of you wondering yes all the screws are now straight too.
Job done.
