It is with sadness I report that our number 1 member and iconic Porsche personality in Australia, Alan Hamilton, has passed away.

We express our condolences to the Hamilton family and our gratitude for Alan’s support for the register.

That is the 934, arrival to Alan, with my dad in photo, removing rope in his fancy pants.
And Alan’s race car, I’m the baby being held on back wing, apparently.

Andrew, it was Fergusons Winery in July 2005. I have a few photos of the day and include some below of Alan and Lisa (now both departed), plus a pic of Alan receiving his No 1 memberhip award being a photo of him at 10/10ths in an old 911 racecar.

Here are some pics from Rennsport 2013 at SMSP where the reborn Chesterfield car was run alongside te 911 T/R that Alan used to race - which I believe was then part of the Bowden Collection.

Alan had a job shoe-horning his large frame into the race bucket in the T/R, but nonetheless managed to punt it around the track at respectable speeds. I beleive it was another now-departed TYP901 member - Ian Henderson, driving the Chesterfield car (that had been fully restored by Jason at Chequered Flag Restos).

Spencer was actually driving the Chesterfield car as Hendo was holidaying in Italy at the time. Fabulous event , but I was dudded by NSW judges in the Show and Shine .....IMO
