Very nice Clyde, the VW apron plugs make all the difference.

I hooked up a box of baking soda in my media blasting cabinet, to clean the VIN and other little things, works a treat at about 20 PSI and won't damage the finish. But it's a nice piece of patina......

        Some updates

Dash is in and looks good it is one of the ones available from several suppliers in Europe but all the same dash, grain is reasonably close to original when you see it next to knee pads.

Clock delete courtesy of John from NZ (thanks)

Brackets in place for tyre strap to hold spare in place as per African Safari ST

Window frames completely apart ready for bright anodising

Wheels and tyres to get it back on the ground and to cover that lovely suspension

Before someone has a go yes the 7's are later ones but I have Harvey doing some early 7's to match the 9's so will have completely correct wheels shortly

Just chuck in the motor out of the Silver T for the time being so you can have some fun. Gives you plenty of time to build up the motor you really want for it.

Yes that may happen in the first instance to get it mobile while we contemplate all the options. Using that motor as the base is also an option correct block and gearbox just need to make it 2.5 and trick up the gearbox somewhat
