Well the engine build has really made any progress in the past 11 months
In a recent fit of frustration I purchased a completed engine that has Weber 46 IDA carbs(also correct for a 2.5ST) a mag case, close ratio gears with LSD pretty much what I need except its carby not MFI but at least its functional
Now need to twin plug it, and make it look cosmetically correct so it looks like this and get it in the back ASAP
The car recently was uncovered after being hidden away for the past year while construction work was done at Classic Road and Track
I will still build the other 2.5 long stroke engine with MFI but at least I can enjoy the car in the meantime.Clyde Boyer

Yes he can do it but.......Mark Johnson has some of his good work in his 2.3ST race car but he is still to start on the original 2.5ST MFI motor.
I am going some where the time frame will be months not years for this particular engine.
Aaron Burnham in the USA is taking care of the twin plug distributor, cap, rotor CDI boxes and tacho mod.
Talking to the guys who make the opaque shrouds and matching tinware.
This hopefully will all happen in a hurry.Last edited by Terminator; 31-10-15, 12:15 PM.Clyde Boyer

Engine prep is on in earnest for the ST
I have had Toby from Cairns Automotive strip the heads and most other bits off the block and they have been sent for twin plugging while I have been running around getting bits hydro blasted powder coated or platers.
Spent 5 hrs on the wire wheel to get the best results from the plating.
Hydro blasting sure cleans engine parts.
I also have been cleaning the block the old slow way ....by hand
Have also been spending
1. Marelli twin plug distributor
2. 225mm magnesium ST fan shroud
3. Fibreglass engine shroud and tinware
4. Racing oil filter for the back of the motor
These parts have come from some very talented people in the UK as they are all reproductions but look fantastic have been tested and are functional and are as a 72ST engine would have had when it left the factory.Clyde Boyer
