Outstanding Chris. Love the Glasurit paint

Chris great job. You can definitely see and smell the finishing line. Got to admit it looks a lot different than the shell that you were working on when I saw the car all that time back.

Your 65 Olso Blue in Glasurit looks "spot on", my 1962 356B Super (now with a new happy owner) was painted in it's original Oslo Blue in 2017. A stand out colour very seldom seen, which looks different in every photo. The quality of the restoration is a credit to you.

You miss the Rover Mower car Geoff. Oslo Blue is one of my three favourite colours on early cars.

Doors off for black edge painting.
Winder mechs and door handles rebuilt.
Prior to painting I fitted new brass bushes to both doors which turns out to be harder than it sounds, the bushes need to be reamed to 8.0 mm after fitting which is challenging given the recessed nature of the door hinges.
Anyway, new bushes and hinge pins should out live me.

Paint plate fitted to reflect the colour change, not expecting too much positive feedback on that one.

Final pic just showing some shiny bits going back on.

I'm assuming that was to stop your doors hinges from "clicking"? I 'm assuming that's not possible once the door post are painted - due to lack of room? mine click - but have 'fixed' by putting in original doors stays (which don't require as much effort to close as the replacements) and nuts and bolt ... but @ some point would love a more sustainable solution.

Marcus, main reason for doing the bushings and hinge pins was just to be thorough whilst everything was apart, old pins had noticeable wear so figured the brass bushes would be even worse.

Where did you get those nails you used to attach the plate

I prefer to call them rifled pins, and I have a set here that I would gladly give you

Solid progress in the reassembly, front fenders reinstalled for hopefully the last time, with terostat ribbon tape applied to the mating faces, and the final chance to get panel alignment as nice as possible.
