Local Suppliers, repairers, website links for 901 Porsche Items.

This is the proposed Listing of suppliers, repairers, links to good websites for parts and servicing of all things related to our 901 cars.

I would suggest when you post a new topic in this thread, that you use a sub heading that relates to the key area of the post.

EG: Body & Paint Shop. for details of a body or Paint shop you have used and were happy with

Mechanic: for details of good service or a particular problem they helped resolve.

Parts: for a web link to a new supplier you found.

I am sure you get the idea so you can then use the search tools built into the Forum under "Thread search" to fine tune you search within the thread for what you are seeking advise on.

        great thread idea.

can we please make sure this is kept nice (ie not using it as a vehicle to vent grievances with any particular supplier).

The pelican thread I posted tried to keep the suppliers current on the front page failed. There is 'search' of course.

Though,is it feasible to have details put to a word excel doc? Becomes a doc that you can find info by state, trade etc?

More work , though made easier if people send in info according to a template?

            Or unnecessary?

I agree it was never meant to become free advertising. Its just a notice board to post where you can find hard to get stuff or get specialsit work on certain 901 related issues. (Like MFI for example)

really thought this thread would have taken off, maybe people are keeping it quiet where they get things done and parts bought

PCM is a good place to start, especially if you don't want to wait long to get a part to continue your project

Been getting a lot of parts from overseas and decided to give them a call - oddly enough they had 3 in stock! was a headlight bucket seal and contrary to reports online it was super easy to fit, fit well, and didn't snap from the stretching. The price was ok but there is only that much you can mark up a cheap part eg a washer is never going to cost $10 nor would they be able to charge that
