    73E reborn

I was fortunate to run across this car 2 months ago and to be offerred the opportunity to purchase it 2 weeks ago, an opportunity I took.

    Australian delivered 73E
Delivered new to Terrence Kruk, Victoria Park, Perth WA
    All original books with car.
    137,000 miles
    S trim
    Light yellow
    Twin mirrors
    Sunroof
Brown houndstooth inserts in comfort seats
    85 litre tank
    Brown interior (dark brown)

I am working on its history however John Gregory worked on the car in 2000 for then owner Ian Noble and it was idle for a long time after that until the most recent owner purchased the car in 2013.

Assuming the speedo hasn't been nobled it has done 900 miles in 16 years and I did 230 of them today!

It has RS flares and bumpers and side trims along with 7" and 8" wheels which is a combo I like a lot (same as Phil Lacks car).

One accident front RHS at some stage can't have been too bad though as inside front luggage is still mostly original with some repairs to RHS and front. Back 2/3 is perfect

There are lots of little things to correct and that process has begun, I have not found any rust yet. I am not changing the rear flares or wheels I like how it looks. Its the same as the Oxford blue E I bought mid year in this respect so now I have twins sort of.

It has pretty poor paint but its still serviceable so not going to muck with that, just need to fix up some interior trim like replacing the rear fold seats with matching brown (getting carpet for them currently as I have the seats)some nice front seats with the brown hounds tooth and fix RHS pull down door pocket.

Black comfort seats have already found a new home as have the black rear folding seats. I have its correct steering wheel being re trimmed but the 370mm momo feels excellent so its staying on.

Headlining, visors, carpets door tops etc are all perfect and sunroof works with usual noises.

At least I know have one I can drive again..anyone want to buy a boxter

Nice colour combination Clyde with the brown and yellow. If that is the original paint - then why not keep it? It would add value I would think.

Not original paint, a bad repaint with too much moisture in the paint so the experts tell me, so I have small bubble heaven.

From 10 feet I have perfect paint though

I recently tied to get some dark brown Porsche-correct vinyl via Prostitch and eventually found how difficult it is to get. I only needed 1/2 meter, but bought the last roll of 4 metres that they could get, for future use.
