Makes early 912's look like good value as they are way more than half the car that is fs above.

Probably worth the money as an unrestored car. I think it was featured in Classic Porsche mag. Anyone know about this one https://www.carsales.com.au/private/...SSE-AD-4738612

That 66 912 sold pretty quickly. Nice car too.

Thanks Hugh. I thought MY66 had a 65 paint number as well?
I thought were all a year earlier on the decal up to 68.

So so is it just 65 cars with a year before?

Yes only the MY 65 (made before the summer break in 65) that have the 64 paint code. It is an almost reliable way of distinguishing between my 65 and MY66 cars made in mid 65

Any one know how much it sold for/what the asking price was on the RHD 912?

Not sure what it sold for but the asking price was circa $89K. A very good buy if so.

Looked to me like the one that was fs back in August 14, ask back then was about 35k, not sure if this was the same car... what it went for in the end as it was not running inisually when first offered.

Thanks. Good to know. Couldn't have been for sale for very long. Hopefully someone on here got it and can fill us in on the details.

I think it's a different car Sean as I have seen this 912 around the hood. The one you mention above went for $35k.

                            Cheers

Wasn't sure if it was, looking back at it now that one was a good buy.
