Australian delivered, painstakingly restored to exacting specification and resplendent in Gemini Blue - 1 of 9 manual coupés for Australia...

Pics now available boys and girls

    I was owner #2 and owner #6 and no I won't be owner #10

It looks almost as I sold it only a couple of things need fixing that I can see and easily done.

David Cottee was one of the owners in Nsw? I see it has an SVM sticker on the rear window.

Here are some pics of the car when Tony Caro owned it taken in July 2005 up in Sydney when Hugh Hodges and I drove my 72 E up there for a long weekend. we met up with a few of the local TYP 901ers for a drive south thru the National Park. As I remember it, we then had a dinner at Tonys house but Hughs memory may be better than mine.

I vaguely remember this car (or similar colour Aussie delivered car) for sale for around 90k in about 03 or 04. My Dad told me I was an idiot for even considering - he had just bought a new 996.2 GT3 for about 260? That S is stunning and so memorable in that colour.

I re purchased it for $80k when it returned to Melbourne (paid $45k in 1999) I sold to a well known collector here in Melbourne to buy my 2nd RS who in turn sold it to Tony Caro who in turn sold it to John Borghetti

What's the switch under the gauges? I only ask because my '70T had a non-original switch there, and wiring going nowhere - which I've since removed.

Would be interested in what needs fixing... looks amazing to my untrained eye.

Hey Gavin, do you have a photo of that? Here is an interior photo of the car when I had it, and there wasn't a switch in that position. (Apologies for thread hijack; might have to move this elsewhere).

OK, that's an odd coincidence. After chatting with Scott last night it appears my switch appeared during its time at Mark Poole's in SA.. no idea what it was supposed to do though..

was at the run - we had pre dinner drinks at Tony's place then adjourned to dinner in Neutral Bay from memory...

We went down to Stanwell Tops from memory....

I thought that switch was for a rear wiper. My 72E had one fitted and its original Kardex showed a rear wiper factory fitted. The rear wiper is long gone but the switch remained.

My highly optioned 72T was fitted from new with a rear wiper and has the same switch.

So Clyde, when you owned the car, did it have the rear wiper fitted ? if so, how did you turn it on ?
