After 4 1/2 years, we are now in final assembly.
photos below were taken during the last two months.
The guys completing assembly have asked if I can get shots of a number of items.
Firstly, the leather straps that hold the rear seats in place, and location of press stud.
The straps on my seats look original but are in poor condition, and shorter than we would expect.
Secondly the cover plate that fits below the Al front cross member
Any thoughts on replacement of these parts would be
David Withers car isnt it ? Also the car that was the subject of a big authenticity debate a few years back when someone else cloned #406 and tried to sel it.
I met the guys in Japan that helped David authenticate his car as being the real #406 and traced all its history in Japan . It was at Rennsport in Sydney last year and I am surprised he is selling, although the $$$ are tempting.

I stopped by this afternoon to have a perv . . . figured it will probably be in a museum in Ohio or Texas soon. Certainly is a beautiful car.
Like Julian said, they have not yet agreed a price with David Withers. Guy said it will be decided in next couple of days and, of course, "priced for the global RS market".
