Out of interest he may well have twin plug heads on that thing. There is a chap called Stan Pobjoy who does VW work and does a twin plug version of the VW Type 1 engine in a 1916cc configuration. It would be odd that it wasn't being utilised that way though….Last edited by CamBiscuit; 18-04-15, 08:06 PM.Cam Arnott

Be interesting to hear what someone finds if they have a look. Guy seemed reasonable when I spoke to him yesterday, came across as making a reasonable attempt to describe a mongrel (912/VW/RScross) which (he says) he imported from Canada as is. If you liked the look of an RS, weren't competing in the Traffic Light Grand Prix and don't care that some one replaced one VW (912) motor with another (which, having owned a 356, is not necessarily a bad thing IMHO) then not the dumbest idea. Says he's bought an 88 Carerra which seems about as sensible an idea as the car he's selling is odd. Certainly seemed to know his Porsches, says he's involved in Porsche Club NSW, but who knows until you eyeball him and car. If it's structurally ok I've seen worse starting points for a hot rod.
