According to seller all but the 2 marked as such. If I was local I'd have a look.

So many inconsistencies -so it's a 1969/73 2.4/1,4 Porsche/VW with single/twin plug (with 4 leads)??? somewhat rusted poorly painted bargain???? that could be converted to a pristine RSR/911E

Well spotted re the 'twin plug head' comment by the seller. I'll bet he has been embarrassed a few times at the lights after proclaiming his "Carrera RS" status with ducktails etc.

an enterprising crafty soul ala jury and a realistic sale price could make a decent build for those who can't afford rhd or clean LHD 911's let alone the price of a good Ozzie 912

Out of interest he may well have twin plug heads on that thing. There is a chap called Stan Pobjoy who does VW work and does a twin plug version of the VW Type 1 engine in a 1916cc configuration. It would be odd that it wasn't being utilised that way though….

                  You speak truth

Stan uses Nissan twin plug dist.

He's done some 356's in recent years also

Any 912's around with SCAT motors? I did hear of one with a Subby WRX motor

Looks like a impact bumper rear end?

Be interesting to hear what someone finds if they have a look. Guy seemed reasonable when I spoke to him yesterday, came across as making a reasonable attempt to describe a mongrel (912/VW/RScross) which (he says) he imported from Canada as is. If you liked the look of an RS, weren't competing in the Traffic Light Grand Prix and don't care that some one replaced one VW (912) motor with another (which, having owned a 356, is not necessarily a bad thing IMHO) then not the dumbest idea. Says he's bought an 88 Carerra which seems about as sensible an idea as the car he's selling is odd. Certainly seemed to know his Porsches, says he's involved in Porsche Club NSW, but who knows until you eyeball him and car. If it's structurally ok I've seen worse starting points for a hot rod.
