Seems like the seller has some issues to work through?!?
Porsche 911E model built Nov 1970
Non-sunroof coupe
It is NOT a purist car because it:
Is NOT LHD (it is Factory Right-hand drive)
Is NOT Germany delivered (it is Australian delivered)
Is NOT matching numbers
Has wrong fuel tank (instead has '73 dated RSR fuel tank)
Has wrong brakes (cross-drilled ), wrong steering wheel (Nardi wood), wrong tyres and also has Retro sound stereo
Has wrong seats are wrong, and wrong motor and also available spare 3.2 motor with high butterfly MFI
Also has more than one owner
As its built after '69, it's NOT a Type 901 car so no enquiries of this nature are required thanks.
Looking for offers over $50k
Comes with inspection slip if you want to register in NSW
At the asking price, I think it's a nice 'each way bet'. It would seem all you have to do is go drive it...
Whilst enjoying the drives, you could spend a few years collecting some bits and pieces (and possibly even locate the engine if you're lucky). Or you could go straight to a backdate. But I'd rather drive it!
Market peak now and sellers rule. This can't continue with the way the international economy is moving. If the US puts up interest rates, our dollar will be worth 50 cents with the current balance of trade. Of course, that could mean any decent cars will be even more likely to go overseas.
From memory it was initially for sale under the name of Paul. Also potentially reflected in the number plate in the first photo. Number plate change and now Dave is selling. ....???
No, I have no affiliation in any way with the car, although I will say that at $50K for the car and the engine mentioned it is fairly priced in today's market.
