Huge price at a time when the international values have plateaued it seems. Not sure that is achievable.

Is that a water drain hole on the lower left hand side of the deck lid grill?

It's actually been up on carsales for for a couple of months, listed for $160k then $172k and now it's current sale price because the matching numbers engine has been found.

Boy he seems to have an axe to grind with Victorians:

"Due to many weekend type club restorers south of the border 'creating' early cars, Vehicle particulars of this will be provided to interested parties in person when viewing the car."

I seem to recall he had some unfavourable comments about Victorians in the ad for the blue car too.

                  Odd.

Just 12-18 months ago he would have been more than $100,000 above market. Now I'm not sure what market price really is! Particularly with the weaker Aussie dollar.

Bit silly to claim that "many" people are creating cars. If it has happened at all it has been a tiny number of people/cars involved.

...and pretty sure those that exist are not geographically restricted...

I can sort of see his point with being cagey. Somebody "created" a lovely copy of my car.

But, as Mitchell says, shonks are definitely not limited to the Southern states.
