I remember this being for sale in the late 80's in a number of the English classic car magazines.

I was in high school then, but knew one day I wanted an early 911.

From memory it was about 10000 quid.

A little like the the ex Alan Hamilton T/R - it was for sale on the US east coast for over a year in Porsche Panorama. it was relatively expensive then, but an absolute steal by today's standards.

If only I had a time machine the size of a double (or triple) gargage...... oh the cars I could buy!

That car has been for sale at least 3 or 4 times in the past half dozen years. I wonder why It does not nearly as good as when it used to wear the plates 2BRX.. maybe it is just going from one speculator to another rather than being held by someone who values it for what it is ?

Did you get to the Bowden's?

I have a stack of pics of the Hamilton T/R, might even be a thread on here somewhere. Great car!

              cheers

No I didn't Jeff. Turned out that the car we really wanted to check out was at their Jimboomba garage this week. Next week hopefully. I have a few pics of that T/R also and have been promised a drive in it.

A thread could be a good idea as it is probably the best known 911 in Australia?

That place has a nice sales catalogue. I would hand over a large part of a lotto scoop to them

I saw 2BRX at AutoFarm in the UK in 2005. It was in its original livery then.

One of our club members commissioned Phil Hearn at AutoCoupe to build him a replica of the above car. Here it is below. Had some of my Rallye ST seats in it.

Havent seen it around for some time, perhaps other Melbourne members have ?

An article I read in the early 90's about this car when it was 2BRX helped me fall in love with early 911's - super special car!
