    For sale - 1981sc

After many years of enjoyment I’m selling my Australian delivered, matching numbers, fully registered 911SC. Delivered new to SMA Motors (SA) in May 1981 it comes with original books, service history & $120k+ in receipts. The car won the Porsche Club SA concourse before being converted into a tarmac rally car by Mark Poole Motorsport. I bought the car in 2008 after which it has been stored & managed by Shaun Cairns of WerksRRR in Bayswater, Victoria.

The car has been maintained regardless of cost & recent work includes dog-rings, sliders & new suspension. It has never been in an accident & has zero rust. It's completed Targa Wrestpoint, Targa High Country & Targa Tasmania plus various PCV events such as the Sandown 6 hour. Regularly placed in the top 5 (3rd up Mount Buller in 2014) it has proven to be an extremely reliable & competitive car despite my limited abilities...ha ha...it's finished every event & with all safety equipment (inc fully plumbed firebomb) potential buyers could take it straight to Targa Tasmania in April.

Under the handicap rules the car runs in standard class which means it retains all original body panels / glass & has minimal modifications, eg Boxster brakes. As a result the car could continue its career as a tarmac rally car or be easily converted into an IROC racer, outlaw or original road car (note I do not have the original seats, door trims etc). I’m selling because I’m now using my GT3 for racing & simply can’t keep everything….

    Registration MR998 (Victoria – paid to 14/12/17)
    VIN WP0ZZZ91ZBS101810
    Engine number 6312052

Price is $88,000 OBO. I can be contacted at mattread993@hotmail.com or via PM

    Kind Regards
    Matt

Matt I suppose you could genuinely say that it's an occasional weekend driver, and it only got airborne once (see pic)
Looks like a fun car to drive!
