Would love to as that is on my bucket list. The manual version is rare. Every C2S I've seen has been a Tip. Now if only I could spare a lazy $196.5K...

I recvd a call to the ad about 10 mins after it listed and looks like this buyer will take it (awaiting finance approval). He is not a forum member but he also has a '67 911 SWB.

A lot of interest in this car because as someone said, manual C2S coupes are rare.

Shane tiptronics out here are also a LOT cheaper, sometimes by $60K or more. 6 spd 993's, especially the last year, are very hard to find. Definitely investment worthy.

Have taken a deposit and awaiting final payment soon.

Phils overseas but I can answer for him, NO. The buyer was unable to procure the necessary finance.

I read your advert Phil, you may want to mention the UK delivery, because as it reads it sounds Aussie delivered.

Seriously, is this correct? salesman's licence is fine to a point but excluding something like this is BS in today's market. If true Phil, you should be ashamed as it looks like your hiding something & not being straight. Your an owner of a Porsche forum & in my opinion have a responsibility to set an example of full disclosure & honesty when advertising a Porsche for sale.
if this is all untrue then I apologise and GLWTS.

Are you sure your happy with that post?

It is a UK car but I have seen the car and it has had a full underbody cleaning with dry ice and is probably far better condition than any other Aussie car on the market

I think it would have been better if Phil disclosed that it was UK built but it is his car and he can advertise as he likes and then take the consequences when people discover it is UK, it has all the UK service history books etc. so would not be hard to figure it out.

I don't understand your comment about Phil owning a Forum, he doesn't own any forums I know of and I think you could have expressed your opinion and made your valid points far more eloquently than you have.

                            Thanks Clyde for your response.
l am happy with my post, it may be blunt but I feel strongly about this 'smoke & mirrors' advertising. It just has the "if you don't ask l won't tell" thing about it.
l never questioned the cars quality as l believe Phil would not buy or own a sub standard car.
Regarding the forum I read here that Phil purchased the forum from the original founder, however if you can explain the actual situation, l am happy to be educated.
Phil is a well respected member here & as such I would expect a better, clearer & more accurate description of what is for sale.
I have posted what I think/feel prompted by 9er's post, if it's not as eloquent as you would like then sorry, but it appears you agree my points are valid.

The club own the forum always have so your understanding is incorrect.

I agree with your points but thought you could have made the same points with the same vigour in a more eloquent way but if your happy then all good.

It is an old add so you were being reactive/supportive to Chris's post not the original ad otherwise you would have posted earlier.
